The Irrevocable Choices

$750.00

Alexandra Fuller, 2025
Five cyanotypes on cotton rag mounted on panel cube with steel helical gears and hand crank

The Irrevocable Choices is an interactive cyanotype sculpture by Alexandra Fuller, composed of five hand-printed cyanotypes on cotton rag mounted to a cube of steel and wood with helical gears and a hand crank. Measuring 5 × 5 × 5 inches, the piece invites viewers to physically rotate the mechanism, revealing a new image on each side with every turn.

Photographed and printed on-site for her 2025 Helper Mini exhibition, the work extends Fuller’s exploration of place, process, and transformation. Created entirely through sunlight and chemistry—without digital manipulation—the cyanotypes capture moments of fragility and endurance, while the mechanical form echoes the cyclic nature of change and consequence.

Originally conceived as part of a site-specific installation, The Irrevocable Choices was designed to remain interactive, functioning as both sculpture and kinetic meditation in its new setting.
